By the end of the original constituent process, an important change in this sense had been noticed. It was not for nothing that a Chilean flag was chosen as a symbol of the new constitutional text. This time, the challenge goes far beyond clearing up doubts about plurinationality and affirmative signals must be offered. The Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral used to say that "the homeland was the landscape of childhood", alluding to the fact that the national community is closely linked to personal identity definitions.

 The road that is presented to an eventual Phone Number List  of the constituent process is not simple. A sector of the right, partly emboldened by the great victory of the Rejection, is promoting a committee of experts to draft a new constitutional text, without going through universal suffrage to elect the constituents.




The most radical sectors of the right even try to interpret the plebiscite vote as a ratification of the current Constitution. The challenge that is presented to Chilean politics is to achieve a new agreement that will finally allow a new constitutional text to be carried out with broad and transversal popular support. To this end, it would be well to remember how quickly the support and hope placed in a process can fall if those expectations are betrayed.
